What this site collects, why, who processes it, and for how long.

Who is responsible

pineforge, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, is the controller of the personal data this site collects. Contact: enterprise@pineforge.dev.

What checkout collects

To issue a license: the licensee's legal name and country, the buyer's name and email, an optional purchase order or reference, the version of the Commercial License Agreement accepted and the time of acceptance, and the order's status.

Stripe, the payment processor, collects the card details, the billing address and an optional tax id on its own payment page. This site sends Stripe the buyer's email, the licensee's name and country (for the invoice) and what was ordered, and receives the payment status and Stripe's ids for the payment, the customer and the invoice; never card numbers.

What the quote form collects

Your name, email and company, the use case, the estimates you give (seats, assets under management, deployment) and your message. The request is stored, emailed to enterprise@pineforge.dev and kept in our customer records at HubSpot.

Technical data

Your IP address, used only for rate limiting of checkout and quote requests. The site stores a counter per address (an IPv4 address in full, an IPv6 address shortened to its /64 network) with the start of the current window (10 minutes for checkout, 15 for quotes) and the number of requests in it. Counters more than 24 hours old are deleted at the next clean-up, which runs on about one checkout or quote request in fifty.

An email log: for each email the site sends, the recipient, the subject and the result.

What is public

The license file, the certificate and the verify page show the licensee's name and country, the plan, the scope and the term to anyone who has the license id; never the buyer's name or email.

Service providers

Stripe (payments, invoices, tax), Resend (email delivery), HubSpot (customer records: the buyer's or requester's name, email and company, and what was ordered or asked) and Cloudflare (hosting, database, network) process this data for pineforge, LLC. They may process it outside your country.

How long it is kept

Orders, licenses and invoices, and the customer records of buyers: 7 years after the license term ends (tax and accounting records).

Quote requests, the customer records of requesters and the email log: 2 years after the last contact.

Rate-limit counters: about 24 hours.

The software

PineForge Codegen sends no data to pineforge, LLC: no telemetry, no license check.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser's storage, and has no analytics or advertising. Stripe's payment page is Stripe's own site, under Stripe's privacy policy.

Your rights
